terms of service
general
The artist has the right to reject the commission request.
The requests are based on a first-come-first-serve basis and will be queued until it is your turn. The client will be notified of a rough estimation of the waiting time at the beginning of the request.
The whole transaction/discussion should be exchanged over a written platform, preferably Discord or e-mail, this is to protect both sides of the party.
Both the client and the artist are not to disappear on each other without any notification in advance during the transaction.
The client is responsible for compiling and providing all the necessary information for commission requests. (For a quick guideline, please look at the Reference Guideline.)
The client is not allowed to rush within the agreed timeline.
The client is not allowed to remove the watermark/credit from the commission piece.
The client is not allowed to heavily alter the finished artwork. However, light edits such as filters or stickers are fine.
The client is to let the artist know in advance if they wish to remain anonymous and/or does not wish to have their commissioned piece to be posted by the artist. (ie. Private commissions, etc)
The client is to let the artist know in advance if they have a deadline they’d like the artist to match. (Subject to availability).
The actual commission process starts only when the artist receives the first half of the payment. (Until then, you will not secure a slot in the queue if there is one!)
payment & refund
Accepted payments: PayPal only (PayPal transaction fee is included in the displayed amount.)
Accepted currency: USD only
**Payment plan for regular commissions: 50% after confirmation of request, 50% after confirmation of sketch. **
Payment plan for sketch-only commissions: 100% full upfront upon confirmation of request.
There will be extra charges for overly-complicated designs/heavy amounts of accessories/mass amounts of props, etc. (The client will be notified of the amount in advance.)
No refund allowed; payments should be made after confirmations on both sides. In the case of emergencies on the client’s side; client is allowed to either request a Postpone in Request or Cancel the Request
In the case of an unavoidable emergency on the artist’s side; a full refund will be made, and the at-the-time-progress will be sent to the client at no cost as an apology.
Postpone in Request = Client may pause the transaction and attend to their financial emergencies and may return to continue the piece when the client is able to pay for the remaining 50%. With the intention of continuing the project; the sketch and progress will be saved on the artist’s side, no high-resolution image of the sketch will be sent to the client. (Any postponement longer than 3 months, the artist reserves the right to end the transaction early if it's seen fit. In this case, the client will receive the high-resolution of the sketch.)**Cancel the Request **= Client may simply end the transaction half-way, and keep the completed sketch. A high-resolution image of the sketch will be sent to the client.

This is time taken when the artist gets to start on your request, not when you placed the request.
Timeline (Not included sketch-only commissions!):
Client places Request(s); the artist will inform a rough estimation of when they can get started on their request.
Discussion & Confirmation of Request(s); the artist will prepare a PayPal invoice; the client is required to make payment for the first 50% of the total amount.
The artist prepares rough(s)/thumbnail(s) for the client; the client may request any changes up to a maximum of 2 times at this stage. (For a full illustration request, the client is allowed to request changes up to a maximum of 4 times)
Sketch is prepared after the rough is confirmed; the client may have up to 2 free revisions to make during this period. The client may ask for the artist’s opinion/advice if they so please, but are in no way obligated to.
Changing the sketch completely (ie. changing the entire composition/different sets of characters) is not allowed. (A new set of sketch = abandoning current request and starting a new one)
After the sketch is confirmed, the artist will prepare the second PayPal invoice; the client is required to make payment for the remaining 50% of the total amount.
The artist will proceed with the remaining steps required to finish the artwork; the client is free to request as many updates as they require during this process. (If the client were to request any major changes/addition during this process, additional fees will be applied accordingly)
Once the artwork is completed, the artist will send a low~mid-resolution of the finished product to the client for final confirmation. (If the client were to request any changes/addition during at this stage, additional fees will be applied accordingly)
Once the client gives their ‘okay’ to the preview; the full-resolution of the artwork will be sent in the form of Google Drive link to the client’s e-mail.
And that will be the end of a mutually-protected transaction!

Rights of Use
The prices displayed are not for commercial/reproduction uses, it is strictly meant for personal use. Not sure what are the commercial uses? If you are earning or profiting in any way from said artwork, that is considered a commercial use.
For commercial uses, it is generally 2 times the total amount, but please mention ahead of time during the request process, as certain commercial uses work better on a royalty basis.
The artist retains the right to post the completed commission with watermark and appropriate credit to the client (or not, if the client wishes to remain anonymous), unless it was a private commission. (With that said, I generally do not post commissioned pieces publicly.)
Reference Guideline:
Where should I compile them? I strongly recommend Google Drive.
Organising them by folders for easy access. (ie. Character Sheet(s), Poses, Outfit ,etc)
General things you are strongly advised to prepare:
Character Sheet(s); these are essential to avoid misportrayal.
Samples of costume design(s); if the outfit is not the same as the ones in the character sheet(s). There will be extra-charges if you request the artist to design a new set of costume for your character.
**Poses/Facial expressions; **photos/templates are fine, but I will not copy exactly the template as it is unethical and illegal. The client may ask the artist for recommendations on this if they are unsure.
Things you should also prepare if you are requesting for full illustrations:
A rough idea of the composition; it is okay if you do not have any, give me a few keywords, or just a theme, and I will draft thumbnails for you to choose from.
Photos of the location you want the background to be set in (Photos!); this only applies if you already know what exactly you want
Character Introduction; this only applies if you are letting me compose the whole thing from scratch (for me to understand better to pose and express them accurately!)
By commissioning me, it means you have fully read through, understand and agreed to the ToS.
